The lexicon consists of C.J. Schlyter's Ordbok till Samlingen af Sweriges Gamla Lagar, Saml. af Sweriges Gamla Lagar 13. (Lund 1877), with about 10,000 entries.

The dictionary has been manually encoded at Språkbanken, University of Gothenburg. The entries have not been proofread after encoding. Schlyter's dictionary is no longer affected by copyright law, as the author has been dead for more than 70 years (C.J. Schlyter 1795–1888).
